This August, I am so excited to be heading to the Netherlands to play for the England ID (Intellectual Disability) Hockey team!
I started playing hockey 6 months before getting picked for England! Since then, I’ve played and captained in tournaments in Holland, Germany and Rome, and now… the World Cup!
What makes this extra special is that for the first time ever, the England ID team will be playing right alongside the England Men’s and Women’s teams in the Netherlands.
I am so proud to be part of that history.
None of this would be possible without the incredible support around me.
A massive shoutout to my brilliant coaches from England Hockey and Flyerz, who are so good at adapting how they teach so I can learn, grow, and see what I’m capable of.
I also want to say a huge thank you to LDN London. Thank you for always supporting me and empowering me to chase my dreams – both on and off the pitch!
I have been incredibly honoured to be the captain of this side. I love helping everyone work together and look out for each other. My team aren’t just players, they are wonderful friends in a truly inclusive group.
Thinking about trying something new? Come pick up a stick and give it a go at Flyerz!
All matches will be streamed live on the official Watch.Hockey digital platform.
