Why swim for LDN London?

At LDN London we help people with learning disabilities to live independently in their community and achieve their goals.

Every pound you raise will directly support:

Life skills workshops at our Community Hub for people with learning disabilities who get very little help daily.

One-to-one support for families of children with SEND.

Employment training for our LDN Eats team to develop their careers.

Swim Serpentine 2026 route

A one-day open water swimming event staged in the iconic setting of the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park, which was the venue for the Marathon Swimming competition at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The two-mile swim is 2 laps of the Serpentine, starting and finishing at the same point, there are plenty of spots along the route for friends and family to cheer you on.

Check out Swim Serpentine website for updates on this year’s route, water temperatures and for tips and training plans:

Your fundraising makes a difference

Here’s how your efforts will change lives:

£100 provides life skills workshops for someone with learning disabilities that teaches them about financial advice, digital inclusion, or how to have safe relationships.

£300 could provide a trip for our LDN Community Hub members to a museum or the theatre and help to reduce social isolation.

£500 could buy sensory play equipment to support children with SEND in their development and learning.
