Great support starts with great leadership
At LDN London, we’re a values-led charity, rooted in London, with a passion for supporting people with learning disabilities to live the lives they choose.
We’re changing how we lead our services, bringing leadership closer to the people we support and creating more opportunities to make a real difference.
We’re looking for inspiring, experienced leaders to help us make it happen.
Your opportunity to lead
As a Local Area Manager, you’ll lead a small group of services, with the freedom to shape quality, develop talented teams and make decisions that really matter.
You’ll be visible, connected and involved — building relationships with people supported, families and staff, and creating a culture where great support thrives.
You’ll normally hold CQC Registered Manager responsibility, combining local leadership with genuine accountability, backed by experienced senior leaders and specialist teams.
The role brings day-to-day operational responsibility and regulatory accountability together, within LDN London’s organisation-wide standards, governance and independent quality assurance arrangements.
Above all, we want someone who shares our commitment to delivering high-quality support and improving people’s lives. You will be visible, approachable and accountable, with the confidence to make sound decisions, challenge poor practice, learn from experience and inspire teams to achieve the best possible outcomes.
You will be able to travel regularly between services within your allocated local area, work flexibly in response to service needs and participate in agreed on-call arrangements.
Is this you?
We are looking for a confident and credible leader who can balance operational delivery with compassionate, person-centred practice. You will have the professional judgement, resilience and leadership skills to support managers, respond effectively to challenges and maintain high standards across multiple services.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Puts people, their rights and aspirations first.
- Brings strong leadership experience in adult social care.
- Inspires teams and develops future leaders.
- Has a passion for quality, safeguarding and continuous improvement.
- Are confident at making decisions and driving positive change.
A relevant management qualification, or equivalent substantial leadership experience in adult social care or learning disability services, is essential. A Level 5 leadership or management qualification, relevant professional qualification and previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge!
Why join us:
A chance to shape something new – Not just manage services but influence how they’re led and developed.
Leadership with real purpose – See the difference you make to people and their communities.
Local roots. Real impact – Join a charity that knows London, values its people and believes everyone deserves great support.
We offer continuing opportunities for learning and development together with regular supervisions and support for all our staff. We offer:
- the opportunity to work flexibly
- up to 38 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
- a generous pension scheme
- season ticket loans
- family friendly policies and personal/professional development packages

Staff testimonials
A friend mentioned LDN London to me. The website and job information talked about the
different things that I would gain instead of just what I would be doing. Despite it being quite tough at some points, I like being part of a team that helps individuals with their different needs. Overall I believe that LDN London is a great company to work with as they support you in any way possible.
LDN London is a great organisation to work for, that cares about, and supports its employees. Career development opportunities and training are available, and you’ll meet managers and support workers with varied skill sets and you’ll have the opportunity to learn from them. Most importantly LDN London team members make every day fulfilling for the people they support. I know my work is making a positive impact and helping each individual to grow, gain skills, and work towards their independence.
What brought me to LDN London was a career where I could help others. It turned out that I met many wonderful people. I have also had the opportunity to learn new things and develop interpersonal skills. LDN London offers a clear path for further development and promotion. This is why I want to continue along this path, and I am excited to see where this journey takes me.
LDN London is a good company as they always support staff via regular training and one to one supervision. One thing that impressed me the most about LDN is that they promote and support teamwork among staff members. Furthermore, staff remuneration in LDN is better than most care agencies in London and beyond. I have worked for other organisations, but none compared to LDN London, the staff are so friendly and professional.
