LDN London helped them to go on a wonderful holiday.
This summer Paul and Audie took a trip to Paris for five days and went on a magical visit to Disneyland.
Paul and Audie both live at Piper House, one of LDN London’s places where we support people. (It is called supported living). They are friends with each other.
In July Paul and Audie took a Eurostar train from London to Paris.
Over five days they travelled all over Paris and saw the historic sights.
They visited Disneyland Paris, saw the Olympics, art at the Louvre, took a boat tour, went to the lovely Jardin de Luxembourg, bought souvenirs and ate crêpes.
They stayed in a flat they rented, along with support workers Chelina and Anita.
Paul’s favourite bit of the holiday was going to Disneyland Paris. He also really enjoyed riding the public transport in Paris, the trains and trams, he said.
Audie said he enjoyed it and “I don’t want to go back to London.”
Paul and Audie went on the holiday with support staff Chelina and Anita. Chelina had noticed that it had been a little while since Audie had travelled on a holiday and asked him if he would like to go on a trip.
Her colleague Anita said she would be happy to come as well, so that Audie and Paul could both go on the trip.
The team at Piper House praised Chelina and she was awarded LDN’s colleague of the month. They said that she went beyond her usual responsibilities “meticulously planning” the holiday to make it a magical experience for Paul and Audie.
Chelina was most pleased that Audie and Paul had a good time: “I was really happy knowing that they enjoyed it.”
