Members of LDN’s Community Hub have been rehearsing for a Christmas show.
They will be performing Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol at LDN London’s Christmas concert in December.
The group auditioned for roles in the play and started rehearsing in October.
Three different actors – Alison, Stephen and Kassra – are playing the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserable and cruel man who hates Christmas.
Scrooge is famous for the line ‘Bah Humbug’. His life changes when he is visited by ghosts which show him his past and future.
Kassra is enjoying his chance to play a unique character like Scrooge. “It’s going very well although there have been a few distractions… I like Scrooge’s greed and his selfish personality”, he said.
Stephen likes playing a person from 19th century London. “I quite like it, going into the character. It gives an idea of what it was like back in the day.”
Valmie, who is performing as a flower girl, said that the rehearsals have been “brilliant”.
Emily from the arts organisation Down the Lens is directing the play.
You can watch our performance of A Christmas Carol on Tuesday 3 December at The Grand Junction. At the event there will also be a performance by London’s Rock Choir.
